Accessibility
Mobility
The clinic is ground floor with a small step at the entry for which a portable ramp is available on request. There is an ADA accessible single-occupancy bathroom.
Positioning – Treatments can be performed standing, sitting, lying face up or down, side-lying, or in any other available position of comfort. A wedge pillow and knee bolsters are available for semi-reclined positions.
Parking – There is no designated parking lot. Street parking is metered up to 2 hours. There is typically space within 1 block of the clinic if not immediately outside but tends to be more challenging between 10am and 12pm.
Air quality/chemical
HEPA filters are running in each room.
Patients are encouraged to avoid perfume or other scented products on appointment days, but the space cannot be guaranteed fragrance free.
I use fragrance free (including no essential oils) hand sanitizer and hand soap between patients and personal care products at home. The treatment table is cleaned with Protex disinfecting wipes. Please let me know if you have any concerns about contact or respiratory allergens.
Size
The treatment table is a custom extra wide table, 33″ x 73″, with an 800lb weight capacity.
Sensory
Lighting – The waiting room and treatment room are both lit with lamps and natural light. There is overhead fluorescent light in the hallway and bathroom.
Sound – The treatment room is street-facing on Lancaster avenue so traffic noises are audible. White noise machines and/or music are available upon request.
Touch – Treatments are 100% tailored to each patient’s individual needs and can be modified to focus on or exclude any regions of the body or types of touch. Feedback before, during, and after sessions is encouraged.
Respiratory illness/COVID
I continue to wear a KN95 or higher filtration mask during all appointments. Patients are encouraged to similarly mask with exceptions for access needs or during treatment of the face. Masks and COVID rapid tests are available for free at the office.
Other
These are general access notes and not meant to be an exhaustive list. If you have specific access needs or concerns not listed above, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
