I love when people unsubscribe

The biggest reason that I historically didn't send my newsletter out more frequently is that I am physically incapable of doing inessential things that I don't enjoy. But the SECOND biggest reason is that email is a blight upon humanity and I didn't want to be a reason for people to spend more time with their inboxes.

Until I stopped and sank into my body and noticed how I feel when I receive and read my favorite newsletters (shout out to Kelly McCarthy, Laz Baum, Tessa Landreau-Grasmuck, and the Cedar Park News.)

Opening these brings me such joy and light. They make me feel more connected and resilient. Maybe the problem isn't email, but the crushing weight of late stage capitalism. So check in with yourself! I want my newsletter to feel like a little treat. If, instead, it's feeling like one more thing to try and stay on top of, give yourself the gift of unsubscribing. While you're at it, see if you can unsubscribe from 3 other email lists that aren't serving you. More light, less blight!

Note: This content was originally in a newsletter and included an “unsubscribe” link, which I’m not tech savvy enough to figure out how to include in a blog post. But next time my email hits your inbox, the link will be there. Don’t be shy about clicking it. I promise I’ll still love you!

or if you’re not on the list and want this content direct to your inbox
